How to Save Money During Halloween!

Today on the blog I am teaming up with Crest and CVS to give you three tips to saving money during Halloween!

1) Buy Late or Shop Early! I personally LOVE decorating our home for fall. That means anything pumpkin, scarecrow or turkey inspired MUST be included. The best time to shop for those pumpkins and Halloween decorations is the night of or the night after. In fact, the sales are starting now because I just went to the grocery store yesterday and saw that they are already having sales on pumpkins! 2) Be creative with your costume! Why not use what you already have and just add a couple of details to make it festive? Here are some ideas: Cat Woman (black skinny jeans and black crop top with some cat ears), Rosie the Riveter (all denim with a red bandana around your hair), or a Minion (denim overalls or shorts with a yellow t-shirt and yellow hardhat with black goggles drawn onto them). There are so many DIY costumes that can help to cut back the costs right before the holidays. 3) Take care of yourself! Okay, if there is one thing I know, it is that I HATE getting sick around the holidays. Because of this, my final tip revolves around taking care of yourself! Go the your flu shot to avoid a doctor visit, take your vitamins and immune booster supplements, and take care of your teeth while packing on the LBS with sweets. The last thing you want to do is fork up $600 for a root canal right before Christmas! This week only, CVS is having a Buy One, Get One 50% off on Crest varieties including Crest Pro-Health, Complete, Crest Kids and 3D White products.

Lastly, here are a couple of stats that may seem crazy but true!

44% of parents admit to eating more candy than their kids during Halloween!

The average parent eats 1/4 of their kid's Halloween candy!
