The Bayou Bend Azalea Trail

The Azalea Trail is put on by the River Oaks Garden Club once a year. It all started in 1927 when 27 residents decided create the ROGC. In 1935, they held the first "Garden Pilgrimage" which is what the event was called back then.

Today's Azalea Trail offers an amazing tour for Houstonians to see the architecture and gardens of Houston's most beautiful River Oaks homes.

Bayou Bend has it's own exhibit and so does the Rienzi. The Rienzi is located on Kirby Drive and it was built in the 1950's but inside exists an amazing collection of art, some even from the 1700's. It was modeled after an English country side home almost reflecting a Downton Abbey feel. The Masterson's were known for their amazing china collection and there is an entire room dedicated to Mrs. Masterson's collection.

My friend, Ashley, organized the most amazing pre-party/brunch and I felt the need to document the day since it was so special! You can shop my look from the event below and here are a few photos from the day:

My actual umbrella is $16 from Target and you can purchase it here.
