Microblading by TheMicrobadeNurse

I am so excited to share my experience with microblading with you all! It took me awhile to get this post out since I wanted to make sure I had completed the healing so I could give you my final thoughts and opinions on it.

How long does it take you to get ready in the morning? I personally take longer than I used to since I enjoy makeup more now than I did growing up but any little tricks help! My eyebrows have always been "there" but never very full and when I applied makeup, I always filled out my eyebrows with a powder or pencil.

Preparing for the treatment. I honestly didn't do much research prior because I find that when I do that, I scare myself with the bad reviews and convince myself to not try new things. *LOL* But I did make sure to read The Microblade Nurse website prior. Sandra's website is clean, professional and easy to navigate. There are some minor things to note before getting the service.

For best results, please adhere to these pre-procedural instructions. Do not stain, wax, or tweeze your eyebrows three days prior to your Microblade session. Avoid sunburns and tanning two weeks prior to your appointment. Avoid facial peels, dermabrasions, and laser treatments for two weeks prior to your session. Avoid Botox three weeks prior to your appointment. Avoid taking Omega 3 (fish oil) and Vitamin E supplements for one week prior to your appointment. Avoid taking Aspirin or Ibuprofen 24 to 48 hours before your appointment, as these medications alter blot clotting time and can result abnormal bleeding during the procedure. Do not drink coffee or energy drinks prior to your appointment if it causes you to move uncontrollably. Do not drink alcohol prior to your appointment.

The Process. When I showed up to Sandra's office, I noticed how CLEAN everything was. Sandra is an ER nurse so she has access to sterile equipment that other places may not. When I got there, we chatted for a bit about what I wanted for my service and then she started sketching out my eyebrows with a pencil. She uses a tool to make sure everything is symmetrical.

Once she was done sketching them out, she applied the numbing cream and left it on for thirty minutes. While I was getting numb, she showed me her colors and we picked one that we felt would be best for my hair color. She cleaned her station up several times throughout the process just to make sure there were zero germs!

After I was numb, she started the process and used this little pen with micro needles to draw the strokes. Honestly, my pain tolerance is very low so I was fully prepared to feel pain. My pain level was surprisingly a 2 out of 10! It was more of an annoyance than a pain. I have heard from others (since getting it) that it is a painful procedure but in my opinion, it was not painful at all! We were done in around an hour and a half.

The Aftermath. Immediately after, my eyebrows felt a little sore. Sandra gives you a care kit that is easy to follow and I used that up until a couple of weeks after the process. After a day or two, your eyebrows get itchy which is the only annoying thing about microblading. Note: When you first finish the procedure, your eyebrows will be REALLY dark. But be patient, they do fade quite a lot and become more natural looking in a couple of weeks. The service that Sandra provides lasts for up to three years so you only need to go for the first application and then a touch up.

Final Thoughts. Microblading was sure a good experience for me. I think Sandra really makes you feel comfortable and taken care of. The results are so amazing and I would recommend the service to everyone!

Cost. Normally, Sandra charges $500 (First Application + 6 Week Touch Up) but she is having a special right now! You can get both services for $275 if you go through me! That's practically half off!! When you check out, use the code BAYOUCITY to get your discounted price! Don't miss out on this chance to get beautiful brows for half the price!
